Family Christmas 2008

This is the downstairs Christmas Tree located in the family room. This is the area where we open gifts between family members.

What a beautiful woman! Miss Julie is holding the new entry piece that we received from Dave and Roger. It will be a nice way to greet friends and family.

So, is this our BYU girl ? It is ! She has just discovered that Santa delivered the new IPod! It will hold all the songs she can listen too.

These pictures are the views of the mountains surrounding our little community here in Midway.  This year the fall colors are a bit muted...however, the beauty of the valley is still spectacular.   

This pic of the Aspen trees is from Snake Creek Canyon.  The air is crisp, the colors are bright and the "woodsy smell" is strong.  Fall is a wonderful time to enjoy the out of doors.

Here we are "Roman" around the woods. You can see from our hair that perhaps we should get back in the car behind the tinted glass. 

Grandpa and Roman are headed for the Nitro.  Roman has a quick step, so I was hustling to keep up!

It is almost dark now in the canyon and this pic of the maple leaves gives an idea of the colors on one tree changing from the green on the left to the red in the middle and the yellow on the right edge.   I think we even put a few of these in a small bag that ended up in Houston.

Here we have Zach, Nicole and Roman. I believe this picture was taken on Zach's Birthday; that is why he is smiling ! Nicole is our eldest child and the mother of our first Grandbaby.  Both Zach and Nicole graduated from the university of utah...the lower case is intentional.  At least Roman is wearing the right color!

I am on my own now! No more bed check ?

Chelsea is our BYU student.  She is a Sophomore majoring in Nursing. She loves the "Y" and living on her own.  She earned her CNA designation this summer while working at an elderly care center.  You Go Girl !

This is a pic of our new daughter in law....What a babe!  Oh, the guy on her right is our eldest son, Tyler.  These two make quite a cute couple. They honeymooned in Cancun. They are back in the routine of things now living in SLC.  Both are working and saving for what every new couple wants, a home of their own.

This little boy clad in his green rain slicker is our Grandson. His name is Roman. He is 16 months old in this pic.  Roman and Nicole (Mom) have been staying with us because their home in Houston has been without power and other necessities after that little wind and rain storm known as IKE !   This outfit landed at his door step just prior to IKE's arrival. This gift from Grandma Julie is a basis necessity ! 

Here is Trent with his eyes open, in fact his eyes are wide open. Take a look off his right shoulder, he is flying high over the Heber Valley.  Then on his left shoulder is " his girl" !  

Trent is a Senior at the home of the Mighty Wasatch Wasps.  He spends his free time working at the Homestead Golf Course.

This is our little boy Trent. Take a look, we think he is darling!  In this shot he is sleeping , but you should see him with his eyes open, Oh, I guess you did in the photo above.  Drop us a note and tell us what you think.  He has a girl friend right now but, you know how boys are, they are always looking for another hottie!

This is a great picture of Jule's at Ty's wedding. It was a little warm that day but being under this tent helped with the cool down.
